Concetto Cicero, master pastry chef

Concetto Cicero was born in Modica on 9 June 1977 and grew up in Sicily. There, while he was still very young, he became involved in the world of confectionery, and in particular that of chocolate-making and modern confectionery.
He started working at Pasticceria Cappello in Modica where he learned all the techniques for confectionery and chocolate-making. In 1999 he began his specialization in Switzerland, studying with the master pastry chef Othmar Fassbind, the owner of the “FABILO” confectionery school.
In recent years, he has taken part in the final of the “World Pastry Championship” in Lisbon and then in Bucharest, as well as the “Pastry Chef Award” in Rome, representing the region of Sicily. In 2006 he joined ASPEC (the Sicilian Association of Pastry Chefs and Chefs) and he is in charge of the provinces of Ragusa and Syracuse.
