Silvia Gaetta, master gelato maker
“Anything done with love becomes art.” Silvia Gaetta
For Silvia Geatta, her love and passion for the craft are the first ingredients she puts into every recipe.
At the age of 15 in her summers during high school, Silvia Gaetta began to learn the gelato trade, first in sales, then in making artisan gelato. Thus began her love for gelato making. Over the years, this love led her to broaden her skills through ongoing training and development.
In 2003, her determination and enthusiasm helped her to become a “technical demonstrator“ for products for gelaterias both in Italy and abroad. She has been working with Fabbri 1905 since 2005, holding professional gelato training courses for anyone wanting to start a business or to enhance their existing skills and knowledge. She organizes the opening of new gelato shops and provides personalized consulting for clients throughout the world, as she is also well versed in English and French.
In 2008, she opened her own gelateria, which has enabled her to continue trying out new recipes and to keep vigil watch over the changing needs of the marketplace. Therefore, she is also able to offer helpful tips during the lessons she leads for the Fabbri School.
