Business Developer

Job Purpose

Business Developer is responsible for developing and executing the corporate business plan within the assigned geographical territory. Act as a key member of sales team. Work closely with assigned partners (distributors & key accounts) to execute business development priorities objectives. Prioritize participation in partner events including forward planning scheduling. Liaise with marketing to create sales assets to be used in business development efforts.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Execute the company sales strategies
  • Achieve established quota in the assigned territory by identifying and closing business opportunities through territory management target account prospecting profiling
  • Develop a close relationship with the existing and potential customers (e.g., digital meeting, personal visits, etc.) → earn trust of key customers, becoming part of their decision-making process in order to help them achieving their business yearly objectives
  • Execute selling pipeline process in the assigned territory and be responsible for prospecting, call for action and closing opportunities for distributor’s potential accounts and into top key accounts.  Maintain effective relationships with established customers.
  • Maintain daily CRM by customer
  • Conduct face to face cold calls with customers and prospects provides effective presentations/proposals to prospective customers
  • Develop a close relationship with the existing and potential customers (e.g., digital meeting, personal visits, etc.) → earn trust of key customers, becoming part of their decision-making process
  • Identify proactively opportunities for virtual marketing campaigns in order to impact business at door level using CRM
  • Use given tools (CRM, virtual, etc..) and resources individually for the specific market (e.g., special window projects etc.)
  • Responsible for selling Fabbri product portfolio full products line by thoroughly assessing the customers’ needs presenting appropriate solutions
  • Build relationships and engage effectively with technical outsource consultant (gelato makers and pastry chefs) to ensure distributors, distributor’s clients and key accounts technical education
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products technology and industry trends
  • Provide management team with accurate and timely reporting of activities including weekly and monthly sales forecasts the status of the pipeline results of prospecting activities
  • Coordinate & execute local classes whenever requested by Sales Manager
  • Detail with Distributor Sales Consultant with a plan per assigned market/territory.
  • Participate to Distributor and key accounts sales meeting
  • Help to recruit, interview potential technical educators (pastry chefs, gelato makers, baristas) whenever requested by direct supervisor
  • Support in maintain an appropriate level of qualified/certified technical educators within the assigned market/territory to support education calendar.
  • Support with organization and execution of distributor & key accounts local show and events
  • Conduct virtual meeting and periodical business review
  • Analyze sales data by territory, client, product category and sku
  • Analyze sku rotation and maintain proper level of stock through monthly forecasting by territory, clients and items
  • Manage territory and clients P&L and maintain assigned level margin % by territory, sku and client
     

Qualifications

  • Three-Five years of working experience as Business Development
  • Use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Talk to others to convey information effectively

  • Yearly FABBRI-Distributor agreed Growth year to year
  • Yearly Distributor Sales Goal achievement
  • Yearly new client acquisition (Distributors, distributor’s clients & key accounts)
  • Yearly P&L
  • Yearly Margin %
  • Successful support in organizing and executing yearly education classes within assigned market/territory in presence and/or Virtual
  • Successful support in organizing and executing yearly distributor & key accounts sales and marketing event in presence and/or virtual
     

Requirements

  • Travel within the assigned territory
  • Communicate appropriately and in a timely manner with direct supervisor
  • Return phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours
  • Check e-mail regularly and assist with Technical calls
  • Submit detailed Report to supervisor weekly (Prospect Report)
  • Able to conduct Virtual meeting and streaming
  • Able to use CRM software
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
